Courage

The 5 track EP “Courage” was independently released on July 3, 2020. It was recorded at Mike’s apartment in Somerville in April and the first two weeks of May. Once the single take performances of guitar and vocals were recorded, Mike sent the tracks off to Grant Bloom. Grant produced, engineered, and mixed Courage. He also added keys, synthesizer, bass, electric guitar, and background vocals. PJ Holaday is on percussion. Carter Sanders mastered it. Music, guitar, vocals, and art by Mike Morrissey.

It is dedicated to all of humanity and our collective struggles. It is dedicated to those we have lost to the coronavirus, systemic racism, police brutality, gun violence, and climate change, and to those still fighting. I hope it gives you courage to make tomorrow better than today.

We are donating all sales from the release to Black Lives Matter Boston, ACLU, Everytown for Gun Safety, Environmental Defense Fund.

Align

The single “Align” was released on January 24, 2020 on all streaming platforms. It was written in early October 2019 and recorded that month during three sessions at Grant Bloom’s studio in Boston, MA.

“Align” is an original song. Music, lyrics, vocals, and acoustic guitar by Mike Morrissey. Grant Bloom co-produced it and plays electric guitar, bass, synthesizer, electric piano and sings harmonies. Callum Mackenzie plays saxophone and sings harmonies. PJ Holaday is on percussion. Mastered by Luke Sullivan. Artwork by Belinda Riggs.

Set the Record

The single “Set the Record” was released on March 14, 2019 and is streaming on all platforms including Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music.

“Set the Record” is an original song by Mike Morrissey. Mike is on guitar and vocals. PJ Holaday is on bass and percussion. Elliot Kerwin engineered, mixed, and mastered the track. Stephanie Jung created the artwork.

The recording was produced by Green Line Records, the student-run record label of Northeastern University, and recorded in two separate 4 hour sessions during the January of 2019.

In the Living Room

The 6 track EP “In the Living Room” was released in October 2018 and is streaming on all platforms including Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music.

This project is self-produced. The songs were recorded live in July 2018 in the living room of Mike’s apartment. Ray Cohen is on percussion.
